Here’s the deal. Genevieve and Carl are something else. Their Ann Arbor wedding was everything and then some. I’m not sure if we have come across a couple quite like them. They do not demand a presence or align the spotlight to themselves, but are constantly looking out for each other as well as everyone else. You should have heard the speeches! It was like every person, friend or family, that has been around them has nothing, but praise. If the speeches were recorded, all six or seven of them, you might begin to understand just a little.
As a result when we walked into the door to Carls’ home it was like we were brought into the family. Genevieve and her bridesmaids (three of four being her sisters) are the most entertaining people to be around. When you hear “You look like Victorian hooker” and “Is your suitcase a plastic bag?” it signals to us that it will be a good day for a wedding.
The ceremony was held at St. Francis of Assisi just across town. Followed by a reception at The Gandy Dancer. The reception was lit. Filled with 90’s jams and the best mother son dance I have ever witnessed. We should note it was not between Carl and his mother but Genevieves father and his mother. I rushed to the dance floor so quick I actually got elbowed in the face trying to get the shot. We loved so much about this wedding. We know Carl and Genevieve are going to have a long and happy marriage surrounded by the best family and friends.
